Delta Camp

One of the original luxury Camps in the Okavango, managed in a very eco-friendly way. Accommodates up to 16 people in luxury  chalets. Safaris by mokoro (they refuse to use the fibre glass mekoro favoured by many lodges, and still use the traditional mekoro hewn from the trunk of a tree) and Walking Safaris. Camp Moremi

Situated on the Xakanaxa Lagoon on the eastern side of the delta, accommodates up to 22 in East-African style tents. Safaris by motor boat and game drives.

Abu Camp

Elephant back safaris, quite unique, but probably the most expensive Safari Lodge in the Whole of Africa! An amazingly beautiful Camp with luxurious custom-designed tents raised on teak platforms with bathrooms that include huge copper baths! not to mention the huge elephants you ride on! Legendary Randal Moore no longer manages the camp and Abu sadly died in 2003.

Camp Okavango

Situated on the remote Nxaragha Island, accommodates 22 people in walk-through Safari tents. Boasts one of the most amazing honeymoon suites in Africa; the Jesse Suite, named after a previous owner of the Camp who insisted guest dine under crystal chandeliers served by white-gloved servants! - It's not like that now, but still luxurious.

Khwai River Lodge

A Five Star Hotel masquerading as a Safari Lodge, The accommodation is in super-luxury tents complete with air-con, mini bar and phone - more of a hotel atmosphere than a Safari Camp. Operated by the Orient Express Group

Camp Okuti

Has just reopened having been completely rebuilt. Located on the Xakanaxa Lagoon, the Camp offers water based activities as well as Game Drives in the Moremi game Reserve

Oddballs

A legend amongst travellers to Africa. One of just two campsites actually in the Okavango (the other is Gunn's Camp). Oddballs probably provides the best 'Okavango experience' if you don't mind roughing it a bit. You can go out on Mokoro Trail from Oddballs - Camping in the 'bush' with your personal Guide.

Mapula Lodge

The newest of the Okavango Lodges . Situated in the remote North East Delta. Eight comfortable and attractive chalets. Mokoro, game drives, night drives, motor boat game viewing. The only Lodge in the Okavango owned by a Batswana. Getting rave reviews form clients

Baine's Camp

Situated on a private concession adjoining the Moremi Game Reserve, Baines Camp is a permanent water Camp offering year-round mokoro and motor launch game viewing. The Camp have three elephants - part of the Living with Elephants Foundation, enabling you to interact with them

Chief's Camp

Situated in the Mombo Concession of the Moremi Game Reserve - "predator capital of Africa", Chiefs Camp offers 12 luxury 'bush pavillions' Safari activities by 4x4 Game Viewing Vehicles and mokoro excursions. Although expensive - it is no where near as expensive a Mombo Camp, but in our opinion offers superior accommodation and equally spectacular Game Vieiwng

Xugana Island Lodge

Eight large raised lethaka (reed) Chalets overlooking the lagoon. Recently completely refurbished. Part of the Desert & Delta group of Lodges offering Lodges in the Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park and Savute regions

Shinde Island

Located in the region of the big river systems of the north-west. Safaris by motorboat and mokoro. An area frequented by the illusive sitatunga antelope.

Stanley's Camp

8 Classic Safari tents with hand-crafted beds and oriental carpets give this Camp a nostalgic 'Out of Africa' ambience. Safaris by 4x4 Game viewing vehicle - including night drives - and Mokoro. The Camp has its own semi habituated herd of elephants enabling close observation of these marvellous mammals.

Eagle Island Camp

Another five star hotel in the bush, safaris by game drives and mokoro, also operated by the Orient Express Group. Eagle Island Camp was voted “Botswana’s Leading Safari” at the prestigious 2007 World Travel Awards. It is the only camp in Botswana to offer fully inclusive helicopter excursions as part of its safari program from January 2008

Xakanaxa Camp

Situated on the edge of Xakanaxa lagoon, accommodates up to 26 people in luxury tents set on raised wooden platforms overlooking the lagoon. Offers all-year round Safaris by motor boat and game drives. Provides a relaxed, rustic and friendly atmosphere.

Xudum

Surrounded on three sides by a deep lagoon formed by the Xudum river. Safaris by amphibious all terrain vehicles and walking.

Kanana Camp

A newish camp on the banks of the Xudum River. 8 large twin bedded safari tents built on plinths with en-suite bathrooms. Activities by Game Drives, Mokoro, Walking Safaris, night drives and power boat. Particularly good for 'Birders' as it has an heronry where many migratory water birds come to have their young from July onwards

Gunn's Camp

Offers both camping facilities and chalet accommodation in a separate Lodge. You can go out on Mokoro Trails from Gunn's Bush Camp - camping in the bush with a Guide.

Nxabega Okavango Safari Camp

Located in a private 7000 hectare concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. Nine luxurious tented suites .Game drives, mokoro excursions and power boat game viewing

Sandibe Safari Lodge –

Situated on the banks of a permanent waterway in the Okavango Delta on a private 270sq km concession. Accommodation is in Eight twin bedded luxury safari cottages with open air showers as well as en-suite bathrooms. Game drives, bush walks, mokoro and power boat game viewing

Kwara Camp

Situated in the private Kwando concession in the Northern region of the Okavango Delta. Eight traditional safari tents built on raised wooden decks overlooking a lagoon. Game drives and mokoro and motor boat activities. Popular with photographers as they have a specialist photographic Guide

Little Kwara Camp has recently been built close to Kwara Camp - smaller and more intimate service and Guiding with a maximum of 10 guests

Pom Pom Camp

This is a 12-bedded safari camp built and designed in the style of safari camps of old. The camp overlooks a scenic lagoon and is built under a grove of shady trees. This is a camp for the safari traditionalist. Getting rave reveiws from clients

African Horseback Safaris

Situated on the western side of the Okavango Delta, this camp accommodates just 10 persons in large twin-bedded tents with en-suite shower and toilet. Only experienced riders are accepted since one spends 4 - 6 hours a day in the saddle, and you may be required to gallop out of a 'tricky situation', so beginners are not taken. Other activities include game drives, bird walks, night drives and mokoro excursions.

Okavango Horse Safaris - accommodating just 8 persons in spacious safari tents with veranda and shower en suite. Bedrolls with cotton sheets, duvet and towels provided. Long drop toilets for each tent and bucket and pulley showers with hot water. Once again only experienced riders are accepted.

A walking safari based out of a traditional safari camp - tents and bucket showers! The Safari is designed to ensure and authentic 'bush' experience without compromising on comfort.

Xaranna Tented Camp

Xaranna Tented Camp will open in June 2008 with eight suites, with the possibility of expanding to 12 at a later stage. Each suite will have a private plunge pool and open-sided pavilion. The concession is 25 000 hectares in size and access will be via an airstrip, 20 minutes away from Maun, followed by a 45-minute game drive or boat ride to the lodge.

Activities will include mekoro rides, boat safaris, walks, and both day and night game drives.

Xudum Delta Lodge

Xudum Delta Lodge will also open in June 2008 with eight suites with the possibility of expanding to 12 later on. Each will have a private plunge pool and a 'lofty hideout'. There will be two main guest areas and four satellite guest areas to guarantee privacy. Access is via the same airstrip as Xaranna Tented Camp, but Xudum is located only a 20-minute game drive away.

Activities will include mekoro rides, boat safaris, walks, and both day and night game drives.

Mombo Camp

Situated on Mombo Island adjoining the northern tip of Chief's Island. Accommodation is in 9 identical guest tents , with a further three in the sister Camp 'little mombo' which is ideal for small Groups seeking privacy. Safaris by 4x4

Duba Plains

One of the Okavango's most remote Camps, it is located in the furthest reaches of the Okavango Delta. Accommodates twelve people in luxury tents. Safaris by mokoro, 4x4 and walking.

Chitabe Camp

Eight luxurious twin-bedded 'East Africa' style tents built on elevated wooden decks. Safaris by 4x4 Game drives. This is NOT a water camp - so no mokoro safaris. Also has Chitabe Trails, a separate camp nearby, ideal for small parties.

Jao Camp

Beautifully designed tented camp accommodating just 16 persons. Safaris by mokoro and 4x4. Located in an area that claims the highest population of lion in Botswana.

Xigera Camp

Pronounced keejera - the camp is situated on paradise island in the Moremi Game Reserve. The Camp was recently totally rebuilt with luxurious tented accommodation on raised decks and interlinking raised walkways. Safaris by mokoro, 4x4 and motor boats. Is a permanent water camp offering year-round boating activities

Vumbura

Situated off the North-Western tip of chief's Island, Vumbura has 8 large tented rooms and offers safaris on mokoro, walking safaris, 4x4 and night drives. Has a sister camp 'little vumbura which has just 5 tents and concentrates more on water activities.

Kwetsani Camp

Kwetsani Island is a large elongated island, heavily wooded with palm, mangosteen and fig trees. Ten lavish tree-house chalets are built under thatched roofs, and all have en-suite shower and loo. Safaris by mokoro, walking and game drives.

Jacana Camp

A permanent water camp, Jacana offers mokoro and walking safaris all year round. Accommodation is in five meru-style tents with private bathrooms. Good for private parties as they will block-off the Camp for a booking of five or more persons.
