Delta Camp

Camp Moremi
Situated on the Xakanaxa Lagoon on the eastern side of the delta, accommodates up to 22 in East-African style tents. Safaris by motor boat and game drives.
Abu Camp
Elephant back safaris, quite unique, but probably the most expensive Safari Lodge in the Whole of Africa! An amazingly beautiful Camp with luxurious custom-designed tents raised on teak platforms with bathrooms that include huge copper baths! not to mention the huge elephants you ride on! Legendary Randal Moore no longer manages the camp and Abu sadly died in 2003.
Camp Okavango
Situated on the remote Nxaragha Island, accommodates 22 people in walk-through Safari tents. Boasts one of the most amazing honeymoon suites in Africa; the Jesse Suite, named after a previous owner of the Camp who insisted guest dine under crystal chandeliers served by white-gloved servants! - It's not like that now, but still luxurious.
Khwai River Lodge
A Five Star Hotel masquerading as a Safari Lodge, The accommodation is in super-luxury tents complete with air-con, mini bar and phone - more of a hotel atmosphere than a Safari Camp. Operated by the Orient Express Group
Camp Okuti
Has just reopened having been completely rebuilt. Located on the Xakanaxa Lagoon, the Camp offers water based activities as well as Game Drives in the Moremi game Reserve
Oddballs
A legend amongst travellers to Africa. One of just two campsites actually in the Okavango (the other is Gunn's Camp). Mapula Lodge

Baine's Camp

Located in the region of the big river systems of the north-west. Safaris by motorboat and mokoro. An area frequented by the illusive sitatunga antelope.
Stanley's Camp
8 Classic Safari tents with hand-crafted beds and oriental carpets give this Camp a nostalgic 'Out of Africa' ambience. Safaris by 4x4 Game viewing vehicle - including night drives - and Mokoro. The Camp has its own semi habituated herd of elephants enabling close observation of these marvellous mammals.
Eagle Island Camp
Another five star hotel in the bush, safaris by game drives and mokoro, also operated by the Orient Express Group. Xakanaxa Camp
Situated on the edge of Xakanaxa lagoon, accommodates up to 26 people in luxury tents set on raised wooden platforms overlooking the lagoon. Offers all-year round Safaris by motor boat and game drives. Provides a relaxed, rustic and friendly atmosphere.
Xudum
Surrounded on three sides by a deep lagoon formed by the Xudum river. Safaris by amphibious all terrain vehicles and walking.
Kanana Camp
A newish camp on the banks of the Xudum River. 8 large twin bedded safari tents built on plinths with en-suite bathrooms. Activities by Game Drives, Mokoro, Walking Safaris, night drives and power boat. Particularly good for 'Birders' as it has an heronry where many migratory water birds come to have their young from July onwards

Nxabega Okavango Safari Camp

Sandibe Safari Lodge –

African Horseback Safaris
Situated on the western side of the Okavango Delta, this camp accommodates just 10 persons in large twin-bedded tents with en-suite shower and toilet. Only experienced riders are accepted since one spends 4 - 6 hours a day in the saddle, and you may be required to gallop out of a 'tricky situation', so beginners are not taken. Other activities include game drives, bird walks, night drives and mokoro excursions.
Okavango Horse Safaris - accommodating just 8 persons in spacious safari tents with veranda and shower en suite. Bedrolls with cotton sheets, duvet and towels provided. Long drop toilets for each tent and bucket and pulley showers with hot water. Once again only experienced riders are accepted.

Xaranna Tented Camp
Xaranna Tented Camp will open in June 2008 with eight suites, with the possibility of expanding to 12 at a later stage. Each suite will have a private plunge pool and open-sided pavilion. The concession is 25 000 hectares in size and access will be via an airstrip, 20 minutes away from Maun, followed by a 45-minute game drive or boat ride to the lodge.
Activities will include mekoro rides, boat safaris, walks, and both day and night game drives.
Xudum Delta Lodge
Xudum Delta Lodge will also open in June 2008 with eight suites with the possibility of expanding to 12 later on. Each will have a private plunge pool and a 'lofty hideout'. There will be two main guest areas and four satellite guest areas to guarantee privacy. Access is via the same airstrip as Xaranna Tented Camp, but Xudum is located only a 20-minute game drive away.
Activities will include mekoro rides, boat safaris, walks, and both day and night game drives.

Vumbura
Situated off the North-Western tip of chief's Island, Vumbura has 8 large tented rooms and offers safaris on mokoro, walking safaris, 4x4 and night drives. Has a sister camp 'little vumbura which has just 5 tents and concentrates more on water activities.
Kwetsani Camp
Kwetsani Island is a large elongated island, heavily wooded with palm, mangosteen and fig trees. Ten lavish tree-house chalets are built under thatched roofs, and all have en-suite shower and loo. Safaris by mokoro, walking and game drives.
Jacana Camp
A permanent water camp, Jacana offers mokoro and walking safaris all year round. Accommodation is in five meru-style tents with private bathrooms. Good for private parties as they will block-off the Camp for a booking of five or more persons.
