Kenya was Africa’s first safari destination and always popular
Kenya is truly a land of contrasts from the snow covered peaks of Mount Kenya to the sun kissed beaches; the scenery embraces mountains, forests, deserts and lakes, plus a staggering diversity of wildlife. Kenyans are naturally welcoming and ‘Karibu Kenya’ is often heard – in fact hospitality is even taught in schools!
Kenya’s premier wildlife area is the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The reserve is well know for its abundant resident wildlife and is one of the few places where it’s possible to see the big five during a morning’s game drive. However, it is perhaps more famous for its annual wildebeest migration which occurs between about July and October.
